Upgradable Firmware

Wattage Compatibility 50w – 260w

You can vape on the eight coil atomizer anywhere from 50w-260w, but it's recommended that you stay between 120w-180w for peak performance. It has a resistance of 0.15Ω. And of course, this tank is a top filling tank. There's nothing wrong with bottom filling tanks, except that they leak easier, are more prone to spills, and annoy the crap out of me. Other than that they're great!

It also comes with several other coil heads, one of which is an RBA base. If you've never had a tank that let you build your own coils, now you'd have the perfect excuse to try your hand at building.

Fuller Clouds & Better Flavor

If you're looking to getting into vaping on box mods, this tank would be a dramatic change from your previous vape pen tank or ego tank. You'll notice a lot denser and thicker clouds. It's called the Cloud Beast, but it's not only a beast at producing massive clouds. The flavor is actually quite nice. It gives off better flavor than most tanks and isn't too far behind a starter RDA. It doesn't give off the same flavor as a good RDA, but it's comparable. Sigelei Fuchai 213W Eleaf Lyche Bundle – $95.95

This bundle is a fantastic option if you're looking to stay under the $100 mark. It, too, includes everything you need to start vaping right away with the exception of e-liquid. To get all of that under $100 is amazing. It does not include a charger because the Sigelei mod is capable of charging the batteries through the micro USB cable.

Sigelei Fuchai 213W Box Mod

The Sigelei Fuchai 213W is a good mod that pushes out unparalleled wattage for its class. It's a compact mod that feels good in your hand. The Fuchai 213W is not some clunker designed to just throw watts at your atomizer. It's smooth and well designed. It's affordable which is why it's able to be bundled with a tank and batteries for under a hundred dollars.

Rapid Charging

The USB port on the side of the mod is not for firmware updates. This mod does not allow firmware upgrades. The port is used solely for charging. If you have to have a mod that has upgradable firmware, this is not the one for you. However, even without upgradeable firmware, the Sigelei Fuchai stills performs nicely.

This box mod is one of the only mods in its class that has rapid charging capabilities built into it. You can charge at 2amps which is pretty fast. My turbocharger charges my cell phone at 2amps and it's lighting fast. The side USB port will allow you to forgo getting a charger all together and possibly charge your batteries even faster than a basic charger.

TC and VW

The Fuchai 213W is a compact mod that has plenty of features you'll love. Some people prefer to vape at a certain temperature to achieve their desired throat hit and flavor. The Fuchai supports temperature control with Ni200, titanium, and stainless steel coils. You'll be able to select a temperature in the range of 200°F – 570°F.

Of course, this mod also has variable wattage. It ranges from 10W – 213W. I personally never really vape above 180W. I may take a drag or two up there every now and then just to see what it's like, but it's not really my cup of tea. But I must say, it is nice to have the ability to vape at high wattages.

Cons

One thing to note about this mod is that you can't turn it off. It has a lock feature, but no off option. Of course, if you remove the batteries that would be the equivalent to turning it off. If you plan on building on this mod, removing the batteries would be wise.

Eleaf Lyche Tank (optional)

When you buy this bundle, you'll get to choose between three different tanks. The Eleaf Lyche is the standard tank for this bundle, but you can upgrade to the SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast for an extra $14. It's something you might want to consider doing, but the Lyche is a good tank as well.

Diameter and Capacity

The Eleaf Lyche is a 22mm tank that can hold up to 4mL of your favorite vape juice. If you have other pen mods or box mods that don't fit well with bigger tanks, the Lyche is a good option. The Cloud Beast tank is 25.5mm wide. If you have a smaller pen mod or box mod, it could hang over the edge. You can still use it like that, but it will just look ugly and might annoy you.

I don't like my vape setup to look sloppy so I never use setups that hang over the edge. With the Fuchai 213W, you won't have to worry about that because it's 29mm wide. You could use either tank on it. But it's something to consider if you plan on using this tank on other devices.

Unique Design

One of the cool things about the Lyche tank is that it is a side-filling tank. You don't come across a side-filling tank too often. I like to have a variety of devices with different features. It is our right to use as many vaping devices as we choose and I love to test out ones with little nuances like the Eleaf Lyche.

The cool little side-filling design is more than just a novelty, it's leak proof. We all know bottom-filling tanks are notorious for leaking. Gravity can be a…But this side filling baby does not leak. It's well-designed and you won't have to worry about wasting your favorite e-liquid in your purse or pockets.

NotchCoil and RBA Head

This tank uses the new NotchCoil design. The coils are 316L stainless steel and have a resistance of 0.25ohm. You can vape on the NC head anywhere from 30-70W. Eleaf recommends staying in the 40-60W range for peak performance. The NotchCoil is nice because it heats up evenly and gives similar flavor to a clapton coil.

If you want to vape at higher wattages to put your Sigelei to the test, you can build your own coils. The Lyche tank also comes with a two-post RBA head, allowing you to be in control of your vaping experience. Kanger Subox Mini-C Subtank Starter Kit – $33.95

Kanger has been in the vaping arena for a long time. They've gained my trust and the trust of vapers around the world by making durable and reliable products. One of my first tanks after upgrading from my crappy little ego pen was a KangerTech Subtank Mini. I loved that little tank! The tank that comes with this starter kit is also a Subtank variation. Some people call it a Subox Mini-C while others call it a Subtank Mini-C. The words are used interchangeably with the tank.

Kanger Subox Mini-C box mod

The Subox Mini-C mod is simple mod that will get the job done. It's a whole hellova lot better than an ego pen, that's for sure. It can't quite compete with the two bundles listed above, but if you have a tight budget this is a great option.

The Subox mod can crank out up to 50W of juice and can go as low as 7W. It has a USB charging port which will save you money on buying a charger. Again, great option if you're tight on funds or you're just not looking to spend a lot your hard earned cash on a crazy-cool setup. A good chager can run you $25 – $30 alone.

The Subox Mini-C is compatible with coils ranging from 0.3ohm – 1.6ohm. You'll be able to get your sub ohm vape on without breaking the bank. There is also an OLED screen on the Subox mod, giving you all the information you need in a convenient manner.

Battery

This kit does not come with a battery. The Subox Mini-C requires one 18650 battery. Be sure to add one to your order to make sure it gets there the same time as your mod. Having a new starter kit with no battery is not that fun. Trust me, I've done it before. You can snag this LG high amp, 18650 battery for just $9.95, still keeping your total well under $50.

I almost forgot to mention that this mod has a magnetic battery door. It makes accessing the batter a tad easier.

Cons

One of the biggest drawbacks of this mod is that it does not have temperature control functionality. If that's a deal-breaker for you, then this is not the kit for you. I'm more of a wattage guy myself, but I do play around with temperature control every now and then just because. If you're coming from an ego pen, this is still a massive upgrade. But I still wanted you to know that it does not have temperature control.

Kanger Subtank Mini-C Tank

The Subtank Mini-C is a great starter tank. It produces good quality vapor that is leagues above ego pen vapor quality. If you're looking to step up your vaping game and get more from your e-liquid, this is a good place to start.

Features

This tank can hold up to 3mL of vape juice. That's pretty good for its slim 22mm frame. It is a top-fill tank and has symmetrical airflow slots to help you produce some dense clouds. It comes with the Kanger stainless steel organic cotton atomizer head. The resistance of the atomizer is 0.5ohm.

The Subtank Mini-C was designed with the beginner in mind. Kanger made it easier to switch out the atomizer head on this tank compared to some of their other tanks. It can get quite messy on some of their other tanks, but this one is a breeze.

The Bottom Line

This starter kit is all about getting the most bang for your buck. If you want to vape in style on a sleek setup, you can't go wrong with this $34 money saving kit. Skip one meal out and cook at home and this kit is now within the budget.
