Do you have expensive taste in vaping? Sometimes I get to lusting after high-end products, which ultimately results in me buying at least one or two of them. You can definitely tell the difference between an expensive mod and a cheap one.

What's the first thing you think of when you hear the phrase “expensive mods” or see it online? When I think of expensive mods, the first thing that comes to mind are DNA mods. They're definitely expensive and they perform much better than your average mod as well. They are so consistent with the way they fire up a nice tank it's ridiculous.

If you've never vaped on a DNA mod, that's both a good thing and a bad thing. The good part is, you don't know what you're missing out on. In this case, what you don't know can't hurt you. It's not necessary to vape on a luxury mod but it is nice.

The bad part is, you're missing out on the premium mod experience. Some people don't care about having a premium experience, and that's perfectly fine. They'll save a lot of money and can happily vape on a cheaper mod. But if you are the type of person that likes the best of the best, a vaping connoisseur as they say, then you have to find a way to try or buy a DNA mod.

The DNA mods below will knock your socks off.

This mod is called the Lost Vape Therion DNA166, but it actually vapes up to 167 watts. It's not a true 167W. The chip vapes up to about 166.66W, which is why they call it the Therion DNA166.

This is a luxury device from top to bottom. The design is spectacular. It has two wooden inlays near the front of the mod. The magnetic battery bay door is covered in ostrich leather. The wood combined with the leather really give this mod a luxury feel. It's a solid device that fits comfortably in your hand. It's not too big or too small.

They smashed it with the design. It's 27mm wide so it can fit your bigger tanks and RDAs but isn't too big of a mod. It's a dual 18650 mod and the batteries are sold separately.

Performance

This device has the DNA167 chipset and performs like a smooth beast. It cranks out consistent power and provides a nice clean vape. The battery life is fantastic due to the efficiency of the DNA167 chipset. There's no lag with the firing button. You fire it and you're vaping right away. It is a DNA chip afterall. Of course it fires right away.

You can't help but fall in love with this mod. It's a solid device that performs flawlessly. If you're looking for the premium vaping experience and 167W is enough wattage for you, this is our #1 recommendation.

Lost Vape Triade DNA250 – $154.95

lost vape triade DNA250 tc

Specs

  • Chipset: DNA250
  • Wattage Range: 1 – 250W
  • Voltage Range: 1 – 9.3V
  • Temperature Control: 200°F – 600°F
  • Resistance Range: 0.08 – 2.0 ohm
  • Dimensions: 88mm x 50mm x 40mm
  • 0.91 inch OLED Screen
  • 1A USB Charging Port
  • 510 Connection
  • Upgradable Firmware

The Triade DNA250 is another stellar device by Lost Vape. They specialize in high end mods and have a knack for elegant designs.

The Lost Vape DNA250 is a beautiful device that runs on three 18650 batteries. It's a tad shorter than the Therion DNA166 but much wider. For a triple 18650 device, it's a nice size. Nice design by Lost Vape.

Performance

There's not much more I can say here that I didn't already say about the Therion DNA166. This device performs amazingly well and the DNA250 chip is a beast. Of course, that's the main difference between this mod and the Therion. This mod takes three 18650s and can crank out 250W of power.

That would be the main reason to get this mod over the Therion. If you vape higher than 167W and don't mind a bigger mod, I recommend you get this one over the Therion. The price point is so similar it's not even a factor. For $5 more you can get an extra 83W! But if you don't ever vape past 167W and would like a smaller mod, go with the Therion DNA166.

Verdict

All-in-all, the Lost Vape Triade DNA250 is a beastly mod. It can power up all of the super sub ohm tanks without breaking a sweat. If you're looking to vape in style at high wattages, look no further. The Triade DNA250 is a luxury mod that would make a strong statement in your hand.
