VaporFi is at it again with a new addition to a largely popular series, the VaporFi Rebel 3.

vaporfi-rebel-3Its predecessor, the Rebel 2, was a huge hit. It caught the attention of the vaping world with it's unique tube design and solid performance. The Rebel 3 looks very similar to the Rebel 2 but it's a tad shorter and is designed better in my opinion.

The design is a more elegant and the mod feels really nice in my hand. I really like the design of the Rebel series, and this one is the best yet. The tube shape is a nice change of pace and just fits perfectly in my hand.

Price and Specs

The Rebel 3 is a really durable and solid device. It's build out of high quality stainless steel so it can withstand a beating. It feels totally different than the dollar store plastic feeling mods. It feels like it could break a cheaper mod in half. I definitely like the build quality and choice of materials.

The battery is no slouch either. It's a 3,000mAh powerhouse. With a battery this size, you won't have to worry about recharging unless you are a super heavy vaper. And there's nothing wrong with that. Vape on! But if you're a casual to light-heavy vaper, you'll be able to vape all day without have to recharge the battery.

Tank

It would be weird to have a 3,000mAh battery and a tiny tank, right? Good thing VaporFi didn't do that. They matched the power of the battery with a 5.8mL sub ohm tank. If you're a casual vaper, the battery and tank combination will allow you to vape all day without having to refuel or refill. You can get about 6-8 hours of casual vaping on this setup. The battery is big enough to go for quite a while unless you pound it like there's no tomorrow.

The preinstalled atomizer comes in at 0.5ohm. You can also add 0.25ohm atomizers to your cart as you checkout. If you like sub ohm vaping, then you're still in the running for this kit. If not, then this is where you can stop reading and checkout some other mods unless you just like to read and learn about different mods.

Price…

So…this is a really expensive mod. It comes in at $119.99. I get why it's so expensive. It's build quality, battery life, and tank capacity are excellent. If you have $120 burning in your pocket, this is not a bad way to get rid of it. But if you're looking to get the most for your money, this is not the mod I would buy.

If you just really love the design, but don't want to part with the money, consider getting the Eleaf iJust 2. They're very similar in design and the iJust2 produces some massive clouds. It only costs $34.95…

I just can't come to terms with the price given the lack of features. For this price, you can get a mod that has variable wattage, variable voltage, customized curve of wattage/temperature, and a whole bunch of other features. The Vaporesso Tarot Pro is a mod I have in mind that costs $60 and has a ton of features. The design is a lot different though. It has more of a rectangular box mod shape, not a tube shape.

Cons

The main cons with this mod are the lack of features given the high price tag. It doesn't allow you to adjust anything except the airflow. Different vape juices and atomizers have different sweet spots. If you can't change the wattage or voltage, you'll never be able to experience all that a juice or atty has to offer. That's a big con for me but only because of the $120 price tag. If this was a $60 setup, I wouldn't expect it to be chock full of features. But it's not.

Another con for some people could be the weight. It's a solidly built mod with a 3,000mAh battery inside of it. It airs on the heavy side. The weight doesn't bother me much, but it's worth mentioning in case you don't like heavy devices.

Pros

One of my favorite things about this pen is the build quality. It's beyond solid. It almost feels indestructible. I feel like I could turn it into a weapon if I was stuck in a jam. It's that solid. I love that about this mod. Another thing I like about it is that huge tank capacity and wide bore drip tip. The drip tip allows tons of vapor to come through which is a plus.

The 3,000mAh battery is another thing I like about this kit. It can easily last all day with light to moderate sessions. The design is simplistic and elegant. It feels nice in my hand and gives off a nice smooth vapor.

Verdict

Overall, I do like this mod. It's super solid, has a big tank capacity, a big battery, and gives off good quality vapor. If you're looking for an easy to use, indestructible mod then this is the one.

I don't really drop my mods a lot so I don't necessarily need it to pay extra for a military grade mod. Also, I like to play around with my wattages until I find the sweet spot of my vape juice. I can't quite come to terms with paying the hefty price tag on this mod. For the money, there are tons of other mods I'd rather buy.

This is a mod that'd I'd pass on unless I was looking for something that was nearly impossible to break and really easy to use, like a gift for an older person. I think that's what they had in mind when they built this mod.
